QUINCY —  Quincy Community Theatre recently announced the cast of “Trap,” written by Stephen Gregg. It takes place one night in suburban California, where every person in the audience of a community theatre play fell unconscious — except one.

A group of actors recreate interviews with witnesses, loved ones, first responders and investigators in an attempt to unravel the truth of the incident. As the strands weave together into an increasingly dangerous web, it becomes clear the phenomenon may be more dangerous — and widespread — than anyone imagined.

The cast consists of Baylee Dedert as Heche, Keyarri Holder as Angela and Sarah Predmore as Real Kenosha, with an ensemble cast of Natalie Predmore, Dawsyn Perry-Broekemeier, Gabby Caley, Aidan Hutton, Simon Bruening, Cecilia Bruening, Logan Mulch, Thalia Wolfmeyer Gage Spindler and Keira Waterkotte.

In a press release, director Brendan Shea said, “If you like mind-bending thrillers, you won’t want to miss this one. ‘Trap’ toys with the conventions of theatre and subverts audience members’ expectations every step of the way. Our ensemble of teenage actors have had a lot of fun putting the puzzle pieces together.
Just remember, once you see ‘Trap’, don’t tell the secret.”

Scenic and lighting design is by Trey Ehrhart, and costume design is by Stacy Barton.

Performance dates are June 17-19. Tickets are on sale beginning Monday, May 16. Join the cast and production team for Discovery Night on Tuesday, June 7. Details for this behind-the-scenes look can be found at 1qct.org. “Trap” is sponsored by Quincy Town Center. QCT’s 2022 season is sponsored by Gardner Denver.
