Quincy Community Theatre to present Tony Award-winning musical ‘Jersey Boys’ in July

QUINCY — Quincy Community Theatre is cranking up the volume on July 10-13 and July 17-20 with “Jersey Boys,” the electrifying Tony Award-winning musical that tells the real-life story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
From the gritty streets of New Jersey to the bright lights of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, “Jersey Boys” takes audiences on a ride through the highs, lows and behind-the-scenes drama of one of America’s most iconic groups. The musical is packed with smash hits like “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”
Stepping into the spotlight as the legendary Four Seasons are Patrick Hedges as Frankie Valli, Jeremy Kurfman as Tommy DeVito, Nicholas Lickfeld as Nick Massi, and Dominic Regner as Bob Gaudio.
They’re joined by an ensemble featuring Meagan Connelly, Emily Dozier, Trey Ehrhart, Joey Engelmeyer, Adrienne Fisk, Tim Hake, Sean Major, Nicolas Moore, Maurice Silas, Caleigh Twaddle, Cheyenne VanMeter, Thalia Wolfmeyer and Matthew Zehnle.
Leading this sensational production is QCT’s new artistic director, Ethan Nienaber.
“I am incredibly excited to bring ‘Jersey Boys’ to our audiences as the first production in my new role as artistic director at QCT,” Nienaber said in a press release. “This show pulls back the curtain on the lives of The Four Seasons in a way that only a reflective memory-style musical can, and our wonderfully talented cast will transport our audiences back to when Frankie Valli’s voice was serenading the world’s airwaves. Prepare for your heart and ears to be captured by the unique sound of The Four Seasons all over again.”
The creative team behind “Jersey Boys” is comprised of Jessi Sparks as vocal director, Cheryl Kaiser as choreographer, Monica Scholz as conductor, Ruth Kummerow as stage manager, Susan Scholz as costume designer, Hayley Wallenfeldt as scenic designer, Russ Long as lighting designer and Bailey McNamar and Jeanette Soebbing as assistant stage managers.
Discovery Night is at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1. Audiences can get an exclusive look behind the scenes of the production in a free, interactive event featuring a discussion with the creative team and a Q&A. A special talk back with the cast and crew is scheduled for July 18.
Flex season ticket holders can reserve seats beginning June 3, with general ticket sales opening June 17. Seating is reserved.
