QUINCY — Shoshana Canali will serve as guest director for the Quincy Community Theatre’s upcoming production of Lost Girl from June 13-16. Auditions for student actors will be held April 29-30.

Canali is a director based out of New York City with experience directing, teaching and coaching throughout the United States (Westchester Sandbox Theater, Denise Simon Acting and Coaching, T. Schreiber Youth Acting, Actors Connection, etc.) Canali holds a bachelor’s degree from Webster University.

In a press release, Canali said, “Whatever happened to Wendy Darling in the years following her childhood adventure with Peter Pan? Even though she has left the nursery window open all these years in the hope of Peter’s return, long gone are the flights of fancy, pirates, princesses and Neverland. Wendy decides that she must find Peter to reclaim her kiss and move on with her life. Along the way, she meets other girls who went to Neverland and learns she is not alone. With empathy, grace and remarkable honesty, Lost Girl is a coming-of-age exploration of first love and lasting loss, continuing the story of J.M. Barrie’s beloved character – the girl who had to grow up.”

Tickets for Lost Girl are $13 may be reserved starting May 21. For more information on Lost Girl and to sign up to audition, visit 1qct.org or call the QCT box office at 217-222-3209.

QCT’s season is sponsored by Gardner Denver.
