Quincy Family YMCA/Kelly’s Fun Run returns for its 42nd year on March 16

QUINCY — The Quincy Family YMCA, in partnership with Kelly’s Tavern, is sponsoring the 42nd annual Kelly’s Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, March 16, at Kelly’s Tavern.

This cherished community event supports the YMCA’s healthy living programs. The 5K race begins at 9:30 a.m. and is open to runners, walkers and strollers of all ages. Participants will compete across several age and gender divisions, with first and second-place awards for each group.

Groups are:

• 12 & Under: Leprechaun Sprinters
• 13-19: Clover Dashers
• 20-29: Shamrock Striders
• 30-39: Lucky Pacers
• 40-49: Pot O’ Gold Runners
• 50-59: Emerald Joggers
• 60-69: Rainbow Racers
• 70+: Golden Legends

Special prizes will be awarded for the best costume and the top “Furry Lucky Charms” dogs. Don’t miss the signature challenge, Catch the Leprechaun.

• Before Feb. 28: $25 per individual, $75 for a family of four.
• After Feb. 28: $35 per individual, $105 for a family of four.

Packet pick-up will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the Quincy Family YMCA and from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, at Kelly’s Tavern.

This run is held in memory of Tom Daly, an avid supporter of the YMCA.
