Quincy Museum to hold bourbon whiskey raffle fundraiser and free community holiday party on Sunday

QUINCY — The Quincy Museum will have a bourbon whiskey fundraiser and free community holiday party on Sunday, Dec. 15. The Quincy Museum will also unveil its official one-day-only holiday Instagram photo booth at the party.

Greg Zanger, a longtime member of The Quincy Museum’s board and avid whiskey collector, said In a press release, “The 15 winnable bottles are rare and highly allocated. The bottle selection is really a whiskey lover’s dream, especially our grand prizes. The odds of winning are exceptional. Pairing the whiskey raffle with our free community holiday party will be a ton of fun for the whole family. Make some memories with free museum tours, elaborate decorations and the official holiday Instagram photo booth. Come eat, drink and be merry!”

Grand prizes are Pappy Van Winkle’s 10-year bourbon and Master’s Keep bourbon in a collector’s box autographed by Jimmy Russell.

  • Blue Run rye whiskey,
  • Blanton’s Bourbon,
  • E.H. Taylor’s Small Batch bourbon whiskey,
  • Eagle Rare bourbon whiskey,
  • John Fitzgerald’s Larceny bourbon, and
  • Smoke Wagon rye.

The party is free to attend. Tickets for the whiskey raffle are $20 each or three for $50. Tickets can be bought online at https://www.thequincymuseum.org/, in person at the museum or by calling 217-224-7669.  Advance ticket sales end at 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14. Raffle tickets can be bought in person at the event.  Winners do not need to be present and can reside anywhere in the continental U.S.  The raffle will be shown live on the Quincy Museum’s Facebook page. Must be 21 or older to enter.

Doors open at 1 p.m. for museum members, and 2 p.m. for the general public. The raffle will be held at 3 p.m.

Funds raised will contribute to The Quincy Museum’s 60th anniversary projects, exhibit lineup and essential capital projects.  Sponsors for the event are County Market Liquors, Wine on Broadway and Lyons Pride, LLC.

The Quincy Museum, 1601 Maine, tells stories of Quincy’s past, present and future while showcasing Victorian-era architecture, natural history, rotating exhibits and children’s educational programs. The museum is open for tours Sunday through Wednesday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. It also is available for private rentals.
