Quincy Park Band concert Sunday in Madison Park to honor first responders

QUINCY — The Quincy Park Band, in conjunction with the Quincy Service Club’s Flags of Honor, will present a concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8 in Madison Park. The concert will honor first responders, including military, police, fire and emergency medical services.

The park band will perform Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man,” Alan Silva’s “For Our Heroes” and F. Von Suppe’s “Light Cavalry Overture.” Other selections are “God Bless America,” Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever” and a Bob Lowden arrangement “Armed Forces Salute.”
