Quincy Park Band to wrap up 76th season with Christmas concert Sunday at Kroc Center

QUINCY — The Quincy Park Band, in its 76th season under the direction of John Hume, will present its annual Christmas concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, in the Worship Theatre at the Quincy Salvation Army Kroc Center.
The concert will feature:
- Leroy Anderson’s “ A Christmas Festival” as well as his Christmas classic “Sleigh Ride”
- Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas”
- “Ode to Greensleeves” by Richard Saucedo
- “A Cowboy Christmas” by Jeff Simmons.
- “In The Christmas Mood” arranged by John Wasson features Christmas classics like “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”, “Let It Snow”, “Frosty the Snow Man” and “A Holly Jolly Christmas”
- “Christmas On Broadway” features some of the great Christmas tunes used in Broadway musicals over the years.
The Park Band Christmas Concert is free to attend. Band members encourage everyone to bring a canned good for donation to the Salvation Army Food Drive.
