QUINCY — Quincy University’s Gray Gallery in Brenner Library is the site of the Debra K. Scoggin-Myers: Rural Retrospective art exhibition. The exhibit features Scoggin-Myers artwork in pastels, mixed media, watercolor and acrylic paints. Her work earned Best of Show at the 30th Anniversary Mary S. Oakley and Lee Lindsay Area Artist Showcase.

“This body of artwork was produced over the past few years and reflects my rural roots and love of the beautiful Missouri countryside,” Scoggin-Myers said in a press release. “For me, painting should have soul, emotion, energy, uniqueness, something to say in a positive, humorous or thought-provoking way.”

The Debra K. Scoggin-Myers: Rural Retrospective art exhibition runs through March 21 and is free and open to the public.
