Sami Bearden: Her beat goes on

SAMI AND MICHELLE

QUINCY – To say Sami Bearden was a reluctant superstar would be an understatement.

In 2017, Sami and two Quincy friends, Savana Santos and Sam Backoff, decided to head off to Nashville to pursue a dream. Their band, “Avenue Beat”, had performed locally and the three young ladies decided to see where their talents would take them.

And while signing with a record label and turning their passion into a full-time gig sounded good at first, life on Music Row became overwhelming for Bearden.

She wanted out.

Sami sat down with me on Wednesday, October 20 to talk about life after Avenue Beat and what her future holds.

I’ve known Sami since her high school days through a friendship with my daughter, Michelle Gough, as you will hear more about in this interview.

She’s still a freaking delight.
