Seventeen QND students selected to participate in District IV festival in Macomb

QUINCY — Seventeen Quincy Notre Dame music students were recently selected by audition to participate in the ILMEA District IV Festival to be held Nov. 6 at Western Illinois University in Macomb. 

All-District Band – Elias Rabe, junior, flute; Ella Damm, senior, contra-alto clarinet; Paul Steinkamp, sophomore, trumpet

All-District Chorus – Ryan Bergman, sophomore; Olivia Fuqua, senior; Audrey Fuqua, freshman; Lyla Graham, junior; Hana Knuffman, junior; Adam Liesen, senior; Jack Myers, sophomore; Ian Paxton, junior; Evan Scheuermann, senior; Ryan Scheuermann, junior; Nolan Smith, junior; Emily Strieker, senior; Josh VanderBol, senior; Aly Young, sophomore

Two students were selected by audition to participate in the ILMEA District IV Jazz Festival to be held Saturday, November 20 in Pekin. Selected were Paul Steinkamp, sophomore, trumpet; and Emily Strieker, senior, jazz soprano.

These students will join hundreds of other music students in the day-long festivals. Each ensemble is conducted by noted guest directors from throughout Illinois.
