Sixth annual balloon glow set for Sept. 30 at Friars’ Field
QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy University will once again light up Friars Field, 20th and College, with 10 hot air balloons on Thursday, September 30. This free event will start at 6 p.m. The balloons will light up from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from TCBY, The Yum Factory, The Red Light Mobile Grill, 8te Open, Tasty J’s, Melton’s Concessions, Gengenbacher’s Shaved Ice Shack and Wine on Broadway from 6-9 p.m.
The balloons will take off from Friars’ Field at daybreak on Friday, weather permitting. Blessing Health System is this year’s major event sponsor. Other sponsors are Adams Fiber, FS Propane, Holiday Inn & Suites, Fairfield Inn & Suites, Just Jump Quincy, Mobile Entertainer, Refreshment Services Pepsi and WGEM.
