QUINCY — Quincy University’s Office of Equity and Diversity is joining Campus Ministry to co-host a Catholic Spanish Mass in the QU Chapel, 1800 College, at 6 p.m. Saturday in celebration of Latin American Heritage Month.

“The presence and contributions of Latin American culture in the United States are invaluable,” said Measha Ferguson Smith, program coordinator for the Office of Equity and Diversity. “As our communities change, we want to be responsive and intentional by inviting everyone to share in rich cultural traditions.”

The special Mass will be conducted in Spanish to unite diverse people of common faith. All members of the public are encouraged to attend, whether you speak Spanish or not. A small reception will follow the service featuring Mexican-themed music, games and desserts. Masks are required.
