‘String Fest’ for students in grades 6-12 to take place Saturday at Baldwin Elementary School theater

The Quincy High School orchestra program, in partnership with the Quincy Civic Music Association, is hosting its first ‘String Fest’ workshop and clinic with Arianna String Quartet.

The String Fest will take place from 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, in the Baldwin Elementary School theater. The workshop is open to all 6th to 12th grade students in the surrounding area who play violin, viola, and bass Suggested playing level is Suzuki Book 4 or above. The workshop is provided for free thanks to the Quincy Civic Music Association. 

Registration is required. The registration link will be open until Sept. 20. Music will be sent to the students after they register. Students already enrolled in the Quincy High School orchestra program will have other activities throughout the day. A separate registration link will be shared to QHS orchestra families though the school email portal. 

The Arianna String Quartet will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. John’s Anglican Church. Students who attended the workshop are invited to attend free of charge.
