Three QND students named All-State Musicians

QUINCY — Three Quincy Notre Dame students were named 2023-24 Illinois All-State musicians due to individual auditions held in October throughout the state.  The selected students will perform in Peoria during the Illinois Music Educators Association annual conference Jan. 25-27.

Aly Young is a senior and the daughter of Mike and Mandy Young. She sings soprano in the QND Concert Chorale and Women’s Glee. She was selected to sing in the All-State Chorus.

Paul Steinkamp is a senior and is the son of Nick and Jill Steinkamp. He plays trumpet in the QND Concert Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Marching Band and also sings in Men’s Glee. He was selected to perform with the All-State Band.

Cayson Peters is a junior and is the son of Tyler and Bryn Peters. He sings bass in the QND Concert Chorale, Men’s Glee and Jackson Street. He was selected to sing in the All-State Honors Chorus.
