Tickets now on sale for Quincy Medical Group Foundation’s Cancer Crush event on April 4

QUINCY — Tickets are available for the Quincy Medical Group Foundation’s Cancer Crush event on Friday, April 4, at The Ambiance. Tickets are $60 each or a table of eight for $470. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds will directly benefit local cancer patients, helping cover daily living expenses so they can focus on health and recovery.
This year’s event offers a silent and live auction, cocktail hour, dinner, games like balloon darts and Plinko, live music from Gypsy-Tango-Foxtrot and Buzz Off Cancer.
A highlight of the evening is the “Dream Disney Vacation” raffle, a completely customizable Disney trip planned by Diamond “Mickey Travels” Vacation planner Wendy Walker. Raffle tickets are $20 each, with only 1,100 tickets available.
In its 11 years, Cancer Crush has raised more than $770,000 to help patients with expenses related to cancer treatment, including transportation, housing and other essential needs.
In a press release, Morgan Parker, QMG’s director of community relations and foundation, said, “Cancer Crush reflects the incredible strength and compassion that define our community. It’s about coming together to support those facing cancer, offering not just financial help but a reminder that they’re not alone in their journey.”
Buzz Off Cancer has been part of Cancer Crush since 2018, bringing together participants — known as buzzees” — who shave their heads in solidarity with cancer patients. This year, the event will again include Hair for a Cause, where community members can donate their hair to be made into wigs for cancer patients.
Buzzees include Adam Niemann, Case Doyle and Ricky Kuczwara, and Hair for a Cause supporters Janice Zanger, Kristen Goings, Shari Lofton and Taylor Mason.
