Violin/classical guitar duo You & I to perform Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Concert Association’s fourth concert of its 2023-24 concert season is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 with the violin and classical guitar duo Yu & I performing at Calvary Baptist Church, 4605 W. Ely Road.

YuEun Kim and Ines Thomé met when they both had just moved to the United States, YuEun from Korea and Ines from Germany. They found themselves as housemates in Los Angeles, both studying at USC’s Thornton School of Music.

Yu & I will take the audience on a journey of music from their homelands and from composers from around the world. Both musicians are winners of multiple solo competitions for their instruments and experienced chamber musicians who have performed around the world. Together, they are winners of the Beverly Hills National Auditions.

Without a season or patron membership, tickets are $25 for adults and $5 for students. Single tickets will be available at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m. or may be bought online at https://hannibal-concert-association.square.site.
