Wide variety of media to be on display July 21-Sept. 9 at Hannibal Arts Council

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The upcoming exhibits at the Hannibal Arts Council feature a wide variety of media that will be on display at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main, from July 21 through Sept. 9.

On display will be:

  • Carol Burns from Palmyra, who will be exhibiting watercolors;
  • Rebecca Butler from the Budding Artist Art Gallery, Quincy, Ill., exhibiting clay creations;
  • Nick Willett from Springfield exhibiting metal sculptures;
  • and work of Joseph Imhof (1871–1955) from the collection of Michael Gaines.

Local artists have submitted works for the “Sanctuary” open show that will feature the work of places where one feels safe, recharged, relaxed, spiritual etc. The Photography Channel will have digital images that reflect the theme “Now & Zen” along with featured photographer Judy Cernea.

An exhibit opening will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 21, with an artist talk at 6 p.m.

The exhibits are sponsored by P&D Electric, Chariton Valley and USBank.

HAC gallery hours are noon-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The HAC gallery is closed on Sundays.
