Adams County schools taking precautions after they receive a social media threat

Adams-County-Sheriffs-Department

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports that the schools in northern Adams County are in “secure mode” after yet another incident involving a social media threat.

Adams County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Patrick Frazier said county deputies are on the scene at schools in the Camp Point Central School District and the Mendon Community Unit 4 District.

Frazier said the sheriff’s office is working with the FBI and taking the threat seriously.

The Quincy School District also received what officials call a non-credible threat Thursday. This marks the third straight day QSD 172 has been disrupted.
