PALMYRA, Mo. — Advance Physical Therapy opened the doors to its 14th outpatient clinic Wednesday in Palmyra.

“Palmyra has been on our radar for a while,” said Matt Bozarth, a vice president with Advance Physical Therapy. “We are really excited to be here.”

Situated a stone’s throw from Palmyra High School at 1811 S. Main, the clinic has built a strong relationship with the Palmyra sports teams by providing an athletic trainer for the school.

Lesley Turner, a physical therapist for 15 years, will run the clinic.

“I’ve lived here for about eight years, and we just fell in love with the community,” Turner said. “Our kids go to school here, and we just love the atmosphere.”

Turner gave out hugs and snacks as visitors arrived Wednesday. Her schedule was full for the first afternoon of work.

“We want to just bring great physical therapy care to the community,” Turner added. “Just to help people function and live better.”

Advance Physical Therapy is based in Quincy with locations in Iowa, Missouri and Illinois.

The Palmyra location can be reached at 573-773-3488.
