Augusta man charged with two counts of child pornography, seven counts of sexual abuse

AUGUSTA, Ill. — An Augusta man has been charged with two counts of child pornography and seven counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
After a lengthy investigation by deputies with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, charges were filed Friday, Jan. 27 against Marcus D. Hiland. He turned himself in at the sheriff’s office on the related warrant and posted the required bond.
The matter is set for a first appearance in Hancock County court.
