Better Business Bureau Quincy honors three businesses with Torch Awards for Ethics
QUINCY — Better Business Bureau Quincy recently honored three businesses with Torch Awards for Ethics, which recognize businesses and organizations that meet the highest standard of trust.
Don O’Brien, BBB Quincy Regional Director, said in a press release, “These businesses are outstanding examples of what it means to truly commit yourself to customer service and ethical practices. They’re a wonderful addition to our local marketplace.”
Three businesses are being recognized in 2024.
With nearly 25 years in business and more than three generations of experience, Keck Plumbing provides plumbing services including repair, replacement, installation and maintenance to customers in Quincy and Springfield.
“When a guy opens a business, you try to do things right, keep people happy and do the right job. I don’t want to say being ethical is a challenge, but it’s always part of the job,” owner David Keck said. “Ethics isn’t something you go to school for. It’s in your upbringing and how you treat people. At the end of the day, I’m proud of this award, because if you’re recognized for business ethics, that’s pretty darn special.”
Mr K’s Fabric Shop sells high-quality window treatments providing consultations, measuring and installation to meet their customers’ needs with custom solutions.
“We are deeply honored to win the 2024 Torch Award for Ethics and to be recognized for these values that guide all of us at Mr. K’s. This recognition reaffirms our unwavering commitment to integrity and reinforces our dedication to building trust with our customers and the community every day,” owner Jennifer Young said.
Founded in 2005, Tigerhawk Technologies serves local businesses in the Quincy area with a wide range of IT offerings.
“Winning the BBB Torch Award for Ethics validates our commitment to integrity, trust and excellence. It reflects our dedication to setting high standards in tech and inspires us to keep providing reliable, innovative solutions to empower our clients. We’re proud to be recognized for doing things the right way,” said JR Bareis, CEO at Tigerhawk.
