Booths available for Upscale Garage Sale set for April 2 at Salvation Army Kroc Center
QUINCY — The Salvation Army Kroc Center encourages anyone planning to have a garage sale this spring to consider being a part of the Upscale Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 2.
Local vendors also are encouraged to participate. Companies such as Thirty-One, Pink Zebra, Tupperware and others have rented booths in previous years.
“The Upscale Garage Sale is a great opportunity for both vendors and shoppers alike,” said Brooke Wade, special events and scheduling coordinator. “Vendors don’t have to worry about advertising their sale or canceling last minute due to weather. Shoppers can shop with many vendors in one convenient location.”
Wade said advantages to participating in the Upscale Garage Sale include no garage cleaning, having access to one of the earliest garage sale events in the area, convenient set-up times and no early birds.
The event allows the public to get a head start on spring cleaning by buying vendor booths inside the Kroc Center gymnasium to sell unwanted items or sell products. A 10 foot by 10 foot booth can be rented for $35. A 10 foot by 20 foot booth can be rented for $70. Booths needing electrical access, which are limited in availability, can be rented for an additional $10. Booth payment must be made by March 25.
Vendors are encouraged to reserve their booth spaces soon. Space is limited. Vendors can donate their unwanted merchandise to The Salvation Army Family Store rather than moving it again.
Event entry for shoppers is just $1 for non-members. Kroc Members receive free admission.
