QUINCY — Calftown Café is under new ownership with Bill Burns, the former manager of the café, and it also has a name change. Calftown Coffee House, 432 S. Eighth, opened its doors to the public for the first time on Monday, April 3.

Customers will see a refreshed menu featuring new coffee blends and a selection of pastries and sandwiches. Plans to introduce new promotions and loyalty programs to reward customers for their continued patronage are under way. The coffee shop’s cozy atmosphere will remain unchanged.

Calftown Café was the cornerstone of the Calftown Corners development since its opening in November 2021. The new ownership is committed to the development’s values of inclusion and openness and to maintaining the same level of quality and service.

In a press release, Douglas Peterson, an owner of Calftown Corners, said, “We are thrilled to welcome Bill and the Calftown Coffee House to our community and to be a part of their expansion efforts. We look forward to partnering with Bill and the Calftown Coffee House on projects and events, and we hope to continue to grow Calftown Corners as we continue to work with them.”

Calftown Café is closed for the week of March 27, 2023, to allow Calftown Coffee House to prepare for opening.
