Cornerstone: Foundations for Families announces appointment of McKelvie as executive director

QUINCY — Cornerstone: Foundations for Families, a mental health services provider, has announced the appointment of Dr. Melissa McKelvie as its new executive and clinical director effective July 10.

McKelvie, a clinical psychologist, brings with her more than 24 years of experience in serving people and communities. She has worked with hundreds of clients in university settings, agency settings and private practice. She has experience supervising, consulting with and mentoring other clinicians. She has run all operations and management of her private practice for the past 14 years.

In a press release, Kelsey Deters, Cornerstone board president, said, “Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position. Her ability to build strong relationships, foster collaboration and drive positive change will undoubtedly inspire our team, partners and stakeholders.”

McKelvie will be responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing day-to-day operations, fostering community partnerships and ensuring the delivery of mental health services.

Cornerstone: Foundations for Families is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services. It is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year of providing compassionate care, evidence-based treatments and community outreach programs.
