Dallas City woman in Hancock County Jail after being arrested twice in two days
COLUSA, Ill. — A Dallas City woman was arrested twice in two days on various drug, theft and driving charges and now is in custody in the Hancock County Jail.
A deputy attempted a traffic stop on a grey 2011 Chevrolet near Colusa at approximately 10:27 p.m. on Feb. 8. The driver of the vehicle attempted to elude the deputy for a short time and subsequently came to a stop in Colusa. Mikayla N. Miller, 26, of Dallas City was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, driving with suspended license, resisting a peace officer and fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer. Miller was released with a future court date assigned.
At approximately 3:36 p.m. the next day, the department received a report of an unknown female stranger passed out in the caller’s residence in rural Carthage. Officers and deputies arrived and found Miller, who had allegedly taken medication inside the residence that belonged to the homeowner. Miller was treated by Hancock County EMS and taken to Memorial Hospital.
Upon release from the hospital, Miller was arrested by deputies and charged with residential burglary, theft and criminal trespass. The Carthage Police Department assisted with the call.
