Delgado, Fernandez, McLaughlin finalists for Bonansinga Community Service Award

QUINCY — United Way of Adams County and the Rotary Club of Quincy annually present the Joe Bonansinga Community Service Award to a person who exemplifies the highest standards of community service. Named after its first recipient in 1998, the award honors exceptional community leaders who demonstrate:

  • Service and volunteer leadership by example
  • Impactful community service
  • Perseverance and community commitment longevity
  • Energetic and motivating enthusiasm
  • Unselfish devotion and joy in endeavors that benefit the needs of others

The selection committee comprises former award recipients, United Way Board members and Rotarians. Finalists are:

  • Jesus J. Delgado, nominated by Paul Havermale;
  • Carlos Fernandez, nominated by Chuck Scholz, and
  • Mike McLaughlin, nominated by Sarah Stephens.

The winner will be announced on May 21 at the Joe Bonansinga Community Service Award Luncheon.
