Dogwood Parade set for May 7

The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the Dogwood Festival will begin May 6 and the parade will make its way down Maine Street once again on Saturday, May 7.

The theme for the Blessing Health System Dogwood Parade is “Celebrating Our Community Blessings!” Parade participants are encouraged to use the theme to showcase their businesses and the parade will begin at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, May 7.

Events include the Little King and Queen pageant at Quincy Town Center hosted on May 6 and a family-friendly block party at St. James Lutheran Church. Other events may be announced soon.

“The Quincy Chamber of Commerce is proud to continue to put on the Dogwood Parade for Quincy and the surrounding community,” said Bruce Guthrie, President & CEO of the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce. “It is such a wonderful tradition for friends and families to come out and enjoy the bands, floats and so much more.”

Registration opens on Friday, March 4 at 8 a.m. Business entries are $75 and not-for-profit organizations can participate for $35.
