Driver headed north on U.S. 61 causes crash by attempting to pass tractor near Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Mo. — The driver of a vehicle attempting to pass a tractor on U.S. 61 was injured in a crash on Friday.
three miles south of Alexandria, Missouri, at 8:31 a.m. on March 14, 2025. The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Clark County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Honda Accord driven by a 52-year-old man from Warsaw, Ill., was traveling northbound at 8:31 a.m. on Friday, March 14, three miles south of Alexandria when it attempted to pass a 1996 John Deere 8310 tractor operated by a 26-year-old man from Canton., When the tractor turned left, the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Honda Accord sustained minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. The tractor sustained no damage and was driven from the scene.
