Driver of pickup truck seriously injured in crash with train on Saturday night in Coatsburg

COATSBURG, Ill. — A male was involved in a traffic crash between a pickup truck and a train on Saturday night.

A press release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Department said the crash happened at the intersection of N. 1843^rd Lane and East 1750^th Street at 8:16 p.m. The male, 42, was driving a 2017 Nissan Titan, which suffered major damage. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Blessing Hospital.

Adams County Ambulance and the Central Adams Fire Department provided assistance. The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
