Driver taken to Blessing Hospital after motorcycle goes into ditch on Illinois Route 336 Sunday morning

QUINCY — The driver of a motorcycle involved in a Sunday morning accident was taken to Blessing Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department reports Patrick Mayfield, 59, of Loraine, was traveling south on Illinois Route 336, just north of Baseline Road, when his 1994 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Ultra motorcycle left the road and went into a ditch on the west side of the road. Mayfield was ejected from his motorcycle.

Mayfield was not wearing a helmet. His motorcycle sustained heavy damage.
