Eighth annual Oktoberfest street festival set for Saturday at Ninth and York

QUINCY — The Rotary Club’s Oktoberfest returns at noon to The District and QUBA (Quincy Brewery Arts). Admission is free until 10 p.m. at the German Historic District outside of QUBA’s Dick Brothers Brewery on York Street between 9th and 10th Streets.  All proceeds from the event will befit local Rotary Club projects.

Beer trucks will be on site from major local distributors offering dozens of domestic and German beers. Home brewers will offer tastings the old Dick Brothers Brewery. Visitors can tour the tunnels and caverns beneath the brewery complex or run the not-so-grueling 0.2K Beer and Brat Dash at 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. 

Visitors can dance in the streets to funky polka music from Eddie Korosa and The Boys from Illinois from noon to 3 p.m. The Gentlemen will perform from 6:30-9:30 p.m.  

Rotary will be serving German-themed food from noon to 7 p.m. New this year will be a selection of food truck offerings.
