Everybody Wins Mega Raffle to award $169,250 in cash and prizes; ticket sales begin Thursday
QUINCY — The Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools (QCES) Foundation and the Quincy Notre Dame (QND) Foundation are kicking off the 13th annual Everybody Wins Mega Raffle on Thursday, April 4.
Since its inception, the Mega Raffle has raised more than $2.3 million to support tuition assistance, technology updates and more to Quincy’s five Catholic schools.
In a press release, QCES Foundation executive director Sara Reuschel said, “At the heart of the Everybody Wins Mega Raffle is the collective support of our entire community. Just as this fundraiser benefits every student in our schools, we firmly believe in the value our Catholic schools bring to the wider community.”
Forty prizes will be awarded throughout the raffle period. The grand prize is $100,000, second prize is $15,000, and the third-place prize is $10,000. These top prizes, along with 32 others, will be announced at the Mega Drawing on May 31, live on 97.9 KICK-FM at 8:35 a.m.
The raffle also includes a $25,000 Early Bird prize … the second-largest prize in the raffle. All ticket sellers and purchasers are eligible for this Early Bird prize. Tickets must be turned in to the QND Foundation by 4 p.m., on Friday, May 3, or before tickets sell out to qualify This drawing will take place live on KICK-FM on Friday, May 17.
A Fantastic Friday drawing will take place live on KICK-FM on May 24 and will award $500 to four winners.
“This fundraiser continues to play a vital role in ensuring students and families can receive a Catholic education from K-12th grade,” QND Foundation executive director Kurt Stuckman said. “The support from our sponsors, the ticket purchasers and Catholic school families are the difference in our success.”
Tickets will be sold by QCES and QND families, the Gene Grawe Fund office in the lobby of St. Peter Church and online at QuincyMegaRaffle.org beginning Thursday.
Four thousand tickets will be sold. Cost is $100 per ticket. With each ticket purchase, $10 will be donated at the discretion of the ticket buyer to one or more of the following schools — Blessed Sacrament, St. Dominic, St. Francis, St. Peter or Quincy Notre Dame.
