QUINCY — The Quincy Exchange Club’s annual Flags of Honor with 1,000 American flags will be on display through 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The flags are displayed on the former St. Mary’s Hospital property along Broadway between 14th and 16th Street.

The flags on display also are available for the public to be displayed in their yards. People can register for $30, and Exchange Club members will make sure a flag is displayed on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.

Visitors can walk through the Field of Honor at no cost. Exchange Club members will be at the site from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to answer questions about the field and about the Exchange Club itself. Donations will be accepted as well. The field will be lit each night.

The money raised through sponsorships and donations for the Field of Honor helps the Exchange Club promote Americanism through the creation of Freedom Galleries (collections of important historic documents on display at various sites around the city) and its Adopt-A-Grandparent program.
