Former Chaddock employee in Adams County Jail facing theft over $10,000 charge

QUINCY — A former Chaddock employee is lodged in the Adams County Jail after he was charged with theft over $10,000.

Detectives with the Quincy Police Department were contacted May 20 by Chaddock, which advised it had a program participant, a 20-year-old male, who allegedly had funds missing from his account. A staff member assisted the resident in managing his funds and monthly expenses. 

After conducting an investigation, Quincy Police arrested Justin Smith, 37, of Quincy. was arrested and is awaiting a detention hearing. The investigation continues.
