Fort Madison woman jailed, faces charges of burglary, possession of methamphetamine

HAMILTON, Ill. — An Iowa woman is in the Hancock County Jail and faces charges of burglary and methamphetamine possession.

Deputies with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department received a report at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 16 of a burglary in progress at the storage units on Warsaw Road at U.S. 136 in Hamilton. The victim witnessed the burglary and provided a suspect and vehicle description. 

A deputy located the suspect’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect was identified as Andrea L. Blint, 39 of Fort Madison, Iowa. Blint was found to be in possession of the stolen items, burglary tools and a glass smoking pipe with methamphetamine residue. 

Blint was placed under arrest and transported to the Hancock County Jail. She is charged with driving while license suspended, burglary, possession of burglary tools and possession of methamphetamine.
