Forum about future of recycling in Quincy set for 6 p.m. July 6 at Quincy Town Center
The City of Quincy will be the host of a community forum about recycling in the Community Room of the Quincy Town Center, 3347 Quincy Mall, from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 6.
Information about the fiscal challenges the city is facing with its current weekly curbside recycling pick-up program will be provided. The city is seeking citizen feedback on proposed alternatives that can be implemented to sustain a robust recycling program going forward. Citizens concerned about recycling but unable to attend the forum in person can send questions, concerns or comments using a survey provided by the city.
The survey asks for a person’s name and the ward they live in. It also asks: What is your question/concern/comment for the City of Quincy recycling program?
The survey will be open for submissions from June 29-July 4.
People also will have an opportunity to ask questions in person at the forum. Questions submitted online will be discussed with citizens who attend the forum in person.
Contact Jeff Mays at 217-228-7730 with any questions about the recycling program and survey.
