Freiburg, Jones, Mentesti named as finalists for Joe Bonansinga Community Service Award

QUINCY — United Way of Adams County and the Rotary Club of Quincy recently announced this year’s finalist for the Joe Bonansinga Community Service Award, annually given to a person who exemplifies the highest standards of community service. 

This year’s finalists are Jack Freiburg, Rev. Orville Jones and Jim Mentesti. The winner will be announced May 20.

Named after its first recipient in 1998, the award honors exceptional community leaders who demonstrate:

  • Service and volunteer leadership by example
  • Impactful community service
  • Perseverance and community commitment longevity
  • Energetic and motivating enthusiasm
  • Unselfish devotion and joy in endeavors that benefit the needs of others

The selection committee includes former award recipients, United Way board members and Rotarians.
