Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House and Women’s City Club to hold fundraiser May 5

QUINCY — Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House and the Women’s City Club invite the public to the first fundraiser for the restoration of the 1855 Lorenzo Bull House and its gardens at 1550 Maine.

A $50 ticket provides a sit-down meal and support for the current project of restoring the massive wrap-around porch. A cash bar will start at 5:30 p.m. Those attending will learn more about the history of the house and the family that built it. People also can “Adopt a Spindle” and bid on auction items to support the restoration.

Donations toward the restoration also are appreciated.
