QUINCY — The Gem City Kiwanis of Quincy Foundation is now accepting applications for 2022 grants.

The foundation provides grant money to benefit youth and/or youth and adults working together for the betterment of the community.  Grant money is to provide enrichment of educational values, creative activities, cultural awareness, physical wellness and/or community service.

The Breakfast Kiwanis Club is a member of Kiwanis International, which was founded in 1915.  Through service and fund raising, the club’s goal is to “serve the children of the world.” The money raised through the club’s trivia night, Peanut Day, Sammy and Friends Golf Outing and other activities is spent to help local youths. The club’s annual Grant Day has provided more than $56,000 to local entities that support youths. The club presented $12,465 in grants in 2021.

Applications are available at the club’s website, gemcitybreakfastkiwanis.com, or through the club’s Facebook page, Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis. Applications must be postmarked by April 19 or emailed by April 23.
