Griggsville man arrested for failing to register as sex offender

GRIGGSVILLE, Ill. — Chief Deputy Zack Orr with the Pike County Sheriff’s Department initiated a criminal investigation on Thursday, Dec. 14, regarding a failure to register as a sex offender complaint in Griggsville.  

After the investigation, John A. Crull, 38, of Griggsville was arrested on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender (a Class 2 felony).  

As is now required under the provisions of the new House Bill 3653, known as the SAFE-T Act, Crull was cited and released pending a court appearance.
