GRIGGSVILLE, Ill. — A Griggsville man is in the Pike County Jail on child pornography charges.

Law enforcement officials from the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, Illinois State Police and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 13 at a residence in the 300 block of Chestnut Street in Griggsville.

After the execution of the warrant, Adrian Cienega-Davila, 39, was arrested on charges of unlawful dissemination of child pornography as well as unlawful possession of child pornography. Cienega-Davila is accused of possessing and disseminating videos, via an electronic device, of children under the age of 13 engaged in various sexual acts. He is lodged in the Pike County Jail.

The investigation began in August when information was received regarding the possession and dissemination of child pornography. The investigation was forwarded to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department for further investigation.

Chief Deputy Zack Orr, who led the criminal investigation, said numerous search warrants were obtained and executed to help law enforcement successfully identify, locate and arrest Cienega-Davila.

Orr said additional criminal charges are anticipated.

Orr also said the Pike County Sheriff’s Department is part of the Office of Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a national network of 61 coordinated task forces, representing 5,400 federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. It is dedicated to investigating, prosecuting, and developing effective responses to internet crimes against children.
