HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal man was arrested Tuesday after a vehicle allegedly was stolen from St. Francois County and driven to Hannibal.

The 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County issued a warrant on Wednesday, Sept. 4, for Dylan R. Zimmer, 18, charging him with receiving stolen property.

The charge stems from an incident that began on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at approximately 5:44 p.m. Officers with the Hannibal Police Department were notified that Zimmer had stolen a vehicle from St. Francois County and was believed to be traveling to Hannibal. It also was reported that firearms and medications were inside the vehicle.

Officers located the unoccupied vehicle at approximately 7:48 p.m. in the 1900 block of Chestnut. Officers saw Zimmer exit the rear of a residence in the area, and he was taken into custody without incident. Officers were given consent to search the home. Medications and firearms were recovered during the search.

Zimmer’s bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
