Hannibal man charged with aggravated home repair fraud in Pike County
HULL, Ill. — A Hannibal, Mo., man has been arrested and charged with aggravated home repair fraud in Pike County.
A victim reported to Pike County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Zach Orr on Nov. 12 a complaint of home repair fraud. The victim reported she paid a substantial amount of money to a person for repairs on the victim’s house. The victim reported she paid the person in July 2024. The victim reported that none of the work had been completed, and the contractor had not reimbursed her.
Orr conducted a criminal investigation, which led to the issuance and execution of court-authorized search warrants for financial information.
Orr applied for and received an arrest warrant for aggravated home repair fraud.
Gary L. Haynes, 47, was arrested Nov. 27 by the Hannibal Police Department on a Pike County, Ill., arrest warrant. Haynes was released pending a court appearance.
