Hannibal man killed Saturday when tree falls on his camper

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal man was killed Saturday when a tree fell on his camper.

The Hannibal Fire Department was dispatched at 9:09 p.m. Saturday, July 1 to 1601 Montana for a report of a large tree that had fallen on a camper.  Upon arrival on scene, firefighters found a victim trapped by the fallen tree inside the camper.  

The victim, David Daniels, 49, of Hannibal, was extricated from the camper and pronounced deceased at the scene.  The Hannibal Fire Department was assisted by the Hannibal Street Department, Hannibal Police Department, Marion County Ambulance and the Marion County Coroner.
