Hannibal teen arrested for kidnapping and shooting
HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal teen was arrested Thursday following a attempted shooting and kidnapping that took place Wednesday night.
Bradley M. Roberts, 18, was charged with First Degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, Kidnapping, and Possession of a Defaced Firearm.
The incident took place around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 3000 block of Warren Barrett Drive. Dispatch reported shots were being fired at an individual and a possible kidnapping had taken place. Hannibal Police officers were given a description of the vehicle involved which they quickly located and stopped.
Roberts and a male juvenile were taken into custody without incident.
A vehicle search recovered two firearms and ammunition. The individual who reported being shot at was not injured. The victim of the kidnapping had just been released by Roberts prior to officer’s intervention and they were not injured.
Roberts bond was set at $100,000 cash and he remains in the Marion County Jail. The juvenile was taken to a detention facility by a Juvenile Officer.
