Harvard woman arrested in Hancock County for possessing heroin

HANCOCK COUNTY, Ill. — A late night traffic stop led to an arrest for possession of a woman for controlled substance with intent to deliver. 

On June 4 just before 11 a.m., a Hancock County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2019 blue Ford F-150 on Illinois 336 near County Road 1350 North for erratic driving and lane violations. 

After further investigation, the driver, Vicky L. Brummett, 65, of Harvard was placed under arrest for driving while under the influence of drugs. A vehicle search revealed more than 200 individual baggies containing a substance that field tested positive for heroin.

Brummett was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver as well and transported to the Hancock County Jail to await an initial court appearance.
