Heinze Dance Academy to expand class offerings as construction on new studio complex begins

QUINCY — Heinze Dance Academy broke ground on Saturday, June 21, on a new state-of-the-art dance studio complex, built by Scott and Cindy Phillips, at 1411 S. 14th in Quincy.
Heinze Dance Academy, owned and operated by Beth Heinze, will start its 33rd dance season in the fall. Both Beth Heinze and Brenna Phillips are instructors at the academy.
Heinze Dance Academy offers classes in pointe, ballet, modern, lyrical, tap, jazz and hip hop. With the expansion and new building, the academy will offer new classes like a nighttime Tiny Toes/Mommy and Me class, special intensive classes with an emphasis on cheer, musical theater, pom and contemporary, adult dance lessons and private dance lessons.
Heinze is a 1991 graduate of Stephens College with a bachelor’s degree in dance, an associate’s degree in liberal arts and an associate’s degree in child studies.
Phillips is a 2022 graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in dance. She is the dance coach of the Quincy University Hawkettes.
