Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis donates $15,000 to 20 recipients

QUINCY — The Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis held its annual grant ceremony at the Kiwanis Shelter in Lincoln Park on Friday. Committee chair Eric Ervin presented awards totaling $15,000 to 20 recipients from Quincy and the nearby area to assist programs or events supporting children or young adults.

The recipients were:

  • Transitional Kindergarten Classroom
  • The Quincy Museum, Inc.
  • \West Central Child Care Connection
  • Covered Bottoms Diaper Bank, Inc.
  • Quincy Neighborhood Federation
  • Sewessentials
  • JWCC-JDub Academy Summer 2022
  • Friends of the Castle
  • QJHS-Cross Categorical Special Education
  • Mary Weems Barton/Quincy Public Library
  • Quincy Sister City Commission
  • Quincy Parochial Schools Reading Recovery
  • Quincy Symphony Orchestra Association
  • Fostering Hope
  • Quincy Art Center
  • Safe Kids Adams County
  • The Salvation Army of Quincy and
  • Quincy Children’s Museum.

Headquartered in Indianapolis, Kiwanis is an international organization founded in 1915. Its members are service and community minded individuals who support children and young adults around the world. Breakfast Kiwanis meets weekly in Quincy on Friday mornings.
