QUINCY — The Knapheide Manufacturing Company is expanding its headquarters at 1848 Westphalia Strasse in Quincy through its Northeast Expansion project.

“It is one of many ongoing projects that we have right now to sustainably grow our company and will allow us to better serve our customers,” Bo Knapheide, president and CEO, said in a press release.

The expansion is set to increase Knapheide’s existing facility by 153,797 square feet.

“The new building space will connect to our current shop and will become a dedicated area for material storage and shop offices,” said Chris Russell, vice president operations. “By removing both from the heart of our production area, we are making our shop safer for employees and increasing assembly space, both of which will increase production and reduce lead times.”

Construction for the Northeast Expansion began in April 2024 and will be completed in phases to minimize disruptions to the company’s manufacturing operations. The project’s final phase is expected to be completed in September 2025.

The Knapheide family has owned and operated the company since its inception in 1848. Today, Knapheide is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers and providers of commercial vehicle solutions. For more information about Knapheide, visit knapheide.com.
