Kohl’s in Quincy adding Sephora beauty care location to store

QUINCY — Kohl’s is adding 400 Sephora locations in its stores this year, and one is coming to Quincy.

The American department store retail chain announced Tuesday the list of locations that will add Sephoras across the U.S. this year. The Quincy store at 6100 Broadway is on that list.

Barron’s reported the stores will be added in 36 states, according to a news release. Kohl’s now has Sephora locations at 600 of its stores and is on track to meet a 850-store goal by 2023.

The concept, first introduced in 2021, features 2,500-square-foot beauty sections that mimic the look and feel of Sephora’s own stores.

“The quick and vast rollout of Sephora at Kohl’s is a testament to how much we believe in this partnership,” Doug Howe, Kohl’s chief merchandising officer, said in a news release. “We’re excited to grow and bring this elevated beauty experience to more of Kohl’s existing and new customers this year.”

Sephora is a French multinational retailer of personal care and beauty products. Featuring nearly 3,000 brands, along with its own private label, Sephora Collection, Sephora offers cosmetics, skincare, body, fragrance, nail color, beauty tools, body lotions and haircare. Sephora was first launched in France in August 1970.
